EpoxySystems' Product #707 Splash Zone and Underwater Paste
DESCRIPTION Epoxy Systems’ Product #707 Splash Zone & Underwater Paste is a moisture-insensitive, two-component, 100% solids epoxy-resin system. When mixed at a 1:1 ratio, by volume, this product produces a paste-like material that is ideal for protection or restoration of concrete, steel and timber piles and other structural elements in marine environments.ADVANTAGES
PHYSICAL PROPERTIES
MIXING Material temperature should be a minimum of 60oF for ease of mixing. Mix "A" & "B" Components together, by hand, until a uniform gray color is achieved. SURFACE PREPARATION Remove all deteriorated material, barnacles or other marine growth by mechanical abrasion, water or sand blasting. To avoid contamination, apply PRODUCT #707 to prepared surface as quickly as possible. APPLICATION For best results, apply PRODUCT #707 by hand using tight-fitting rubber or plastic gloves. (Wet gloves with slightly soapy water before working with material.) Press material onto surface and knead into place in maximum lift thickness of approximately 2". Smooth gently by rubbing with gloves using water as a lubricant. LIMITATIONS Do not thin PRODUCT #707. Since water conditions and content vary greatly, it is recommended that a sample application be made to ensure the intended performance. Do not apply when water or ambient temperature is below 50oF. COVERAGE One (1) gallon of PRODUCT #707 will yield 231 CI and cover 12.8 SF @ 1/8" thickness 125 mil. PACKAGING This product is packaged in four (4) gallon and ten (10) gallon units.SHELF LIFE Two (2) years for Components "A" and "B". CAUTION Contains A Component contains epoxy resins. B Component contains organic amines which are strong sensitizers. WARNING! May cause skin sensitization, burns or other allergic responses. Avoid inhalation of vapor. Use good ventilation, particularly if material is heated. Prevent all contact with skin and eyes. Wear protective clothing, goggles and/or barrier creams. Wash thoroughly after handling. FIRST AID: In case of contact, immediately flush eyes or skin with plenty of water for at least fifteen (15) minutes. Remove contaminated clothing before re-use. Discard contaminated shoes. Epoxy Systems™ Product Company ("ESI") warrants its products (when properly stored) for the period of time as follows: Epoxies, Product #315, Product #315BC, and Product #316 one (1) year; Polyesters, Methyl Methacrylates (normal) two (2) months and Polyurethanes Four (4) months; Power Tools and Equipment 90 days; Vinyl Esters, High Molecular Weight Methacrylates (HMMA) and all other resins (not specifically mentioned above) 30 days; hand tools (non-power tools) 30 days. ESI warrants that its products will be free of manufacturing defects and will be in conformity with published specifications when handled, stored, mixed and applied in accordance with recommendations of ESI. If any product fails to meet this warranty, the liability of ESI will be limited to replacement of any non-conforming material if notice of such non-conformity is given to ESI within the warranty period for the material (as indicated above), or within 1 year of the delivery of materials (whichever is sooner). ESI may in its discretion refund the price received by ESI in lieu of replacing the material. No customer, distributor, or representative of ESI is authorized to change or modify the published specifications of this warranty in any way. No one is authorized to make oral warranties on behalf of ESI. In order to obtain replacement or refund the customer must provide written notice containing full details of the non-conformity. ESI reserves the right to inspect the non-conforming material prior to replacement. EXCEPT FOR THE EXPRESSED WARRANTY STATED ABOVE, THERE ARE NO OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR PURPOSE. ESI'S OBLIGATION SHALL NOT EXTEND BEYOND THE OBLIGATIONS EXPRESSLY UNDERTAKEN ABOVE AND ESI SHALL HAVE NO LIABILITY OR RESPONSIBILITY TO THE PURCHASER OR ANY THIRD PARTY FOR ANY LOSS, COST, EXPENSE, DAMAGE OR LIABILITY, WHETHER DIRECT OR INDIRECT, OR FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. All quotes and sales subject to availability. Many of our products are made on an individual order basis. Unless authorized in writing by Epoxy Systems, Inc. in writing before the material is made, there are no returns on items purchased from us, once the order has been processed, and the material made. In the event of authorized returns a restocking charge will be charged in the amount of 30% of the value of the material returned or $150 whichever is greater. No returns on non-list priced items. All Returns are for merchandise (store) credit only, no cash or credit card credits. In the event of a return, buyer is responsible for the cost of shipping and handling in both directions.
