Metal Filled Trowel Grade Epoxy


DESCRIPTION

PRODUCT #652 Metal Filled Trowel Grade is a two-component, 100% solids, metal-reinforced polymeric compound which can be used to repair virtually any metal surface that has been damaged, cracked or worn.

SURFACE PREPARATION

All surfaces to be repaired must be clean of dirt, grease and oil. For best results, remove contamination with abrasive blasting and non-flammable cleaner/degreaser, making sure all dust is removed.

MIXING

Either mix the entire contents of the base and activator or measure three (3) parts of base and one (1) part of activator, by volume, and mix with spatula thoroughly to produce a streak-free material. Scrape mixing board frequently to insure complete mixing.

APPLICATION

Apply by brush or applicator. Material should be worked into the profile of the surface to achieve maximum adhesion. Material can be heat-cured for one (1) hour at 200 F to achieve ultimate properties.

COVERAGE: One (1) kg unit equals 38 cu. in

 

CURE CYCLE

Immersion/Full Chemical and/or heat Exposure 5 days

Force cures must be used for enhancement of high temperature and chemical resistant properties or to allow the coating to be placed in service before 5 days. Allow the coating a post cure of 12 to 24 hours before force curing.

RECOMMENDED FORCE CURE SCHEDULE
Minimum 4 hours @ 150oF
Minimum 6 hours @ 250oF

LIMITATIONS

Material should be used in 40 to 90 F temperatures and in less than 90% humidity.

SHELF LIFE

One (1) year in closed containers. Store between 60 F and 85 F.

CAUTIONS

"A" Component: Warning! Contains epoxy resin. May cause skin irritation or allergic response. Avoid contact with skin. Avoid breathing vapors when heated. Wear protective gloves, goggles and barrier creams. In case of skin contact, wash thoroughly with soap and water. In case of ingestion, do not induce vomiting.

"B" Component: Warning! Danger! Causes severe burns. Contains alkaline aimes-strong sensitizer. Avoid skin contact. Avoid breathing vapors when heated. Wear protective gloves, goggles and barrier creams. In case of skin contact, wash thoroughly with soap and water. In case of ingestion, induce vomiting. If irritation persists, seek medical attention.

Epoxy Systems™ Product Company ("ESI") warrants its products (when properly stored) for the period of time as follows: Epoxies, Product #315, Product #315BC, and Product #316 one (1) year; Polyesters, Methyl Methacrylates (normal) two (2) months and Polyurethanes Four (4) months;  Power Tools and Equipment 90 days; Vinyl Esters, High Molecular Weight  Methacrylates (HMMA) and all other resins (not specifically mentioned above) 30 days; hand tools (non-power tools) 30 days.   ESI warrants that its products will be free of manufacturing defects and will be in conformity with published specifications when handled, stored, mixed and applied in accordance with recommendations of ESI. If any product fails to meet this warranty, the liability of ESI will be limited to replacement of any non-conforming material if notice of such non-conformity is given to ESI within the warranty period for the material (as indicated above), or within 1 year of the delivery of materials (whichever is sooner). ESI may in its discretion refund the price received by ESI in lieu of replacing the material. No customer, distributor, or representative of ESI is authorized to change or modify the published specifications of this warranty in any way. No one is authorized to make oral warranties on behalf of ESI. In order to obtain replacement or refund the customer must provide written notice containing full details of the non-conformity. ESI reserves the right to inspect the non-conforming material prior to replacement. EXCEPT FOR THE EXPRESSED WARRANTY STATED ABOVE, THERE ARE NO OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR PURPOSE. Many of our products are made on an individual order basis.   Unless authorized in writing by Epoxy Systems, Inc. in writing before the material is made, there are no returns on items purchased from us, once the order has been processed, and the material made. In the event of authorized returns a restocking charge will be charged in the amount of 30% of the value of the material returned or $150 whichever is greater.  No returns on non-list priced items.  All Returns are for merchandise (store) credit only, no cash or credit card credits.  In the event of a return, buyer is responsible for the cost of shipping and handling in both directions.
